Our ability to be present is harder when we’re overwhelmed and we feel that everything needs to be done- and done right now. Step away, give yourself permission to declutter your mind and your body. Give yourself, and those around you, the gift of being present and in the moment.
Thinking about the past anchors onto what we could have, should have, might have done, whereas thinking about the future latches onto worries and fears of uncertainty. When we live in the past or future, we miss out on the freedom and peace in the now.
