There is no β€˜health’ without mental health, so I chose to spend the day with my family working on projects around the house and yard – to focus on my own self care by building my resilience through mental fitness. πŸ’ͺ

I invite you to give yourself time to pause…right now, today, especially now with so much anxiety, stress, and uncertainty surrounding us. 😝

By pausing…you can take in the world 🌎 around you. You are able to see πŸ‘€ things in a new way, to appreciate and value πŸ‘ the ordinary that is all around. Self care is critical to our mental health and prioritizing this time to pause…allows space for our own mental fitness and refills our emotional wellbeing. πŸ€—Β

For me that includes something as simple as taking a break from screens, taking a walk πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ with my dogs 🐾 or spending some quiet time meditating, πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ praying, πŸ™ reading, πŸ“– journaling, listening to music, 🎢 or having a light conversation πŸ“£ with friends and family, or even working together on projects around the house and in the yard. Whatever works for you, I encourage you to do it.

In a few days, I’ll be presenting πŸ’β€β™€οΈ another workshop with a group at Microsoft on the topic of Avoiding Burnout through Mental Fitness.
