We’ve all heard of EQ (Emotional Intelligence), but have you heard about PQ (Positive Intelligence)? Mental Fitness plays a primary role in everything we do – from mastering our emotions, to building relationships, to achieving our life’s purpose. Your Mental Fitness can, and will, define your life. With the right mentality, the world is yours for the taking. The trouble is, most of us neglect our Mental Fitness and go straight to the behavior.

We attempt to change our diet, change the way we respond to a negative comment, and for many the reason it fails is that we didn’t put our Mental Fitness first. According to the Cleveland clinic, each person has about 60,000 thoughts per day. That’s about one thought per second in every waking hour. That’s a lot of opportunities to work on your Mental Fitness. That’s good news!

The bad news is, on average, 75% of our habitual thoughts are NEGATIVE. This occurs because without conscious training our brains are hardwired to pay more attention to the negative experiences than to the positive ones. We are not born stressed and depressed. It takes practice to get that way. Finding happiness, purpose, and joy also takes practice, AND it can be done!
