How often do we find ourselves waiting? Waiting for the “right time” to take a break, waiting until we’re completely exhausted before stepping away, or waiting for some kind of external permission to take up space in our own lives?
The truth is, you don’t need permission. You don’t need to justify your presence, your needs, or your choices. You don’t need to wait for burnout before giving yourself a break. And you certainly don’t need to delay prioritizing yourself until it feels more convenient.
So many of us have internalized the idea that we need to shrink ourselves—whether it’s in the workplace, in relationships, or even in our own minds. We hold back our ideas, minimize our successes, and hesitate before advocating for our needs. But you are here for a reason. Your voice matters, your presence is valuable, and you are worthy of taking up space exactly as you are.
There’s a common belief that we must work ourselves to exhaustion before we’ve “earned” rest. That we have to prove our worth through hustle and overextension. But burnout is not a badge of honor—it’s a signal that something needs to change. Giving yourself time to pause, recharge, and care for yourself isn’t selfish; it’s necessary.
If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to prioritize yourself, consider this your sign. There will always be deadlines, responsibilities, and external pressures, but your well-being can’t be an afterthought. When you take care of yourself first, you show up more fully in every other aspect of your life.
What would happen if you stopped waiting? If you gave yourself permission to take up space, to rest, and to prioritize yourself today?
If you’re ready to step away from the stress of daily life and truly invest in yourself, I invite you to join me for a transformational Women’s Spring Retreat. This is your opportunity to reset, reconnect, and rediscover what it feels like to put yourself first—without guilt or hesitation.
